A fine quality, antique, French Louis XVI vitrine/bibliotheque, circa 1890. The vitrine made of the finest banded walnut and inlaid with satinwood stringing and having a gilded bronze garland/ribbon to the top. The cabinet having a full length door with beveled glass, the door flanked by a pair of gilded bronze bell-flower brackets, each side of the vitrine having corresponding beveled glass panels. The base of the door having an inlaid rectangular figured walnut panel with a gilded bronze rosette at each corner. To the interior the cabinet back is fitted with a mirror and three glass shelves & one wooden shelf to the very bottom, the vitrine is raised on short tapering legs with gilded bronze feet. The cabinet is all original and is in excellent condition and is ready to grace your home.
