An unusual African tribal table from Benin, West Africa, circa 1920. The table base modeled as a male human form providing the support for a table top. The table is from the Yoruba people located in Benin, Nigeria and Togo. This table formed part of a large European collection of tribal African art, mainly collected in the early part of the 20th century. The table is robust and stable.
