A fine antique cased sterling silver fish service for 12 people, made by Francis Higgins & Sons, London & retailed by Garrard & Co, dated 1912. Silver weight
The set made totally of solid sterling silver; the handles, blades & fork ends are solid sterling throughout. The set comprising 12 fish knives and 12 matching forks & housed in a brass bound mahogany case lined with blue satin, the case with a brass cartouche (which is free from an engraved monogram). Each knive & fork are hallmarked to both the handle and the blade/fork, the case having a lock to the front with key.
Condition is very good indeed. 52.5 oz (1488 grams) silver weight
