A fine set of eight Federal style gilded & japanned dining chairs by Kittinger Furniture Co.,
Kittinger was founded in NY in 1866, they have made furniture for the White House and Colonial Williamsburg reproductions. They are known for making very high quality period style furniture, using traditional skills and superior materials.
This very elegant set of chairs are in remarkable condition, they have the original caned seats and backs, the caning is in excellent condition. Plus the seats also have a set of custom made tufted cushions in a very high quality checkered gold fabric.
Each of the chairs having curved arms with gilded line decoration, the arm supports and legs are turned with corresponding gilded decoration.
Condition is remarkable, these chairs are in excellent condition and are ready to grace your space.
