Antique Persian Islamic Brass Celestial and Terrestrial Floor Globe, Circa 1850. An important large antique Islamic bronze & brass celestial globe with smaller terrestrial globe below, the globe is hand planished & heavily engraved with figures, Islamic script and other devices. The globe has a graduated meridian ring, sits on an engraved & graduated horizon ring, and is housed in a carved wooden tripod base. Condition is very good; this globe came from the collection of a prominent Kuwaiti collector, size is large as this is a floor globe. An important investment quality antique Islamic bronze & brass globe circa 1850. Comes with certificate of authenticity.
