A fine pair of monumental antique Japanese Satsuma vases with stands, circa 1900.
The vases having an ivory background and are finely handpainted with enamels of Samurai warriors and Imperial dignitaries, historic Japanese mon symbols, the vases are raised on the original mahogany stands and marked to the base with a twin red character mark.
