A good pair of original Mid Century Cesca armchairs, designed by Marcel Breuer and made by Knoll International in 1974.
Breuer designed this iconic classic in 1928, the cantilevered frame is made from tubular steel and the seat and chair back are made from woven cane, the wooden frames & arms are made from ebonized beech.
Both chairs have the Knoll International tag to the underside and the date of manufacture is stamped on the tag, " May 22nd 1974". The chairs are in really remarkable condition, the caning is in great shape as is the tubular steel and beech frames & arm rests.
There are lots of inferior knock offs in the market place and and also slightly better versions made by companies like Gavina or Cassina in Italy, Knoll are still maufacting this chair and is sells for $1216 per chair. Why not treat yourself to a pair of original vintage Knoll International Cescas, that are 50 years old and in really good condition and ready to grace your home!
