A pair of sterling silver & black onyx mid-century standing birds, Taxco, Mexico, circa 1950. A wonderful pair of whimsical sterling silver engraved birds with egg shaped bodies made of black onyx, the birds with outstretched engraved wings and feet, both are freestanding, most likely representing a female & male bird. Each bird is stamped to the underside, condition is very good. Weight 115.5 grams
