A good pair of antique Jacobean style joint stools made from the oak timbers of the old Thames Lock Bridge, London.
The stools are made in the traditional manner of the early 1600s, with rectangular seats and raised on four out swept turned legs, the stools are of joined and pegged construction.
Each stool has a brass engraved plaque to the rail under the seat, with the epigraph "Made from 150 year old oak from The Thames Lock Bridge".
The stools are in great condition, they are robust and sturdy and will support very substantial people, or could be used as side tables.
These rare pair of historically important stools are ready to grace your space.
