A fine & elegant pair of antique French Empire Napoleonic period rosewood and ormolu pedestal side/lamp tables, circa 1805. 

Each table having a rectangular top with a beaded ormolu band to the edge, the tables having tapered octagonal pedestals adorned with a cuff of ormolu acanthus leaf ornament. The octagonal pedestals flare outwards to connect to a base with four terminals edged in ormolu and raised on gilt-bronze Greco-Roman winged lion's paw feet.

These tables are of the finest quality and demonstrate the abilities of a very skilled French cabinet maker, the table construction and quality of the gilded bronze mounts present a pair of tables that were made for someone of substance. Condition is very good.
