A pair of fine antique Gustavian style engraved solid silver candlesticks, Sweden, dated 1864.
This very elegant pair of antique Swedish silver candlesticks having eight lobed engraved removeable bobeches (collar to catch molten wax), each bobeche has the maker's mark "PFP stamped the three crowns for Sweden and the date stamp "K5" for 1864. The knop & baluster shaped stems having floral engraving and are raised on a circular foot with a corresponding eight lobed decoration above, the candlesticks are also hallmarked to the sides of the foot.
Condition is excellent, no damage or restoration, silver weight 535 Grams.
