A very fine pair of 18th century antique French Lois XV marquetry inlaid and ormolu mounted rosewood, walnut and fruitwood, tambour front side cabinets, circa 1780.

This very elegant pair of antique cabinets are of bombe or Serpentine shape, the rosewood and walnut cases are lavishly inlaid with satinwood and fruitwood
floral marquetry inlay. 
The tops are inlaid with a neoclassical flowering urn flanked by a pair of birds, the sides of the cabinets with corresponding marquetry panels, each cabinet having an inlaid drawer with gilt bronze handles and a gilt bronze lock escutcheon with a garland and surmounted with a bow.
The cabinet have tambour doors that open and close with ease, the doors are flanked with vertical floral marquetry panels, the cabinets are raised on cabriole legs and a shaped skirt with floral inlay and gilt bronze sabots.
The secondary woods to the drawer linings and sides are oak, condition of both cabinets is every good indeed, this wonderful pair of late 18th century cabinets are ready to grace your space.
