Bloomsbury Fine Art & Antiques wishes to extend thanks to Sarah Dean Kellham (Ansdell), who compiles a catalogue Raisonne of her Great Great Grandfather's work, she described the painting as "a splendid painting and very well executed". She believes this work and others she has identified are by a contemporary of Richard Ansdell who specialized in paintings of working horses.
