A good monumental antique cast metal garden urn on pedestal circa 1930.
The urn and pedestal are in two sections with a circular urn of monumental size standing on a square plinth, the urn is decorated to the top with a band of demi-lunes in relief, and adorned with bronze applique masks with foliate & floral panels in between. The base of the bowl of the urn with acanthus leaf decoration and the urn is raised on a turn socle & square base. The square pedestal below is decorated with panels also in relief and columns to each corner that are gilded, the base of the pedestal is of stepped form.
Condition is very good, the body of the urn and pedestal is painted black and can be easily repainted in a color of your choice, this wonderful monumental urn & pedestal is ready to grace your space.
