Late 1960s Mid-Century Modern teak 8 drawer double chest designed by Peter Liley, for Meredew furniture, 1969.

There were 4 different models of chests in the range which was imaginatively called ” New Teak Bedroom ”, designed and then produced in 1969 by Peter Liley. This is the original version with dished handles . There is a later version by Meredew where the handles are flat presumably to save costs and produce them more economically in the early to mid 1970s.

This chest looks like it was made yesterday, condition is very good indeed. This piece can easily be used for it's original intent as bedroom storage, but could also be used in a lounge setting as a credenza/sideboard or Hi-Fi storage.

SOLD. Please inquire, as we may have similar pieces in stock.
