The statue finely carved in Carrara marble and most likely by Giovanni Bastianini (Italian, 1830-1868). The bust carved in the manner of Francesco da Laurana (Italian, 1430-1500). The bust being a depiction of Johanna Albrizzi, a Florentine noblewoman from the 15th century. The bust being finely carved of the Renaissance maiden wearing a lace cap with her hair parted in the middle and curls to the side wearing a floral medallion around her neck, and wearing a textured bodice. To the base, carved on a ribbon is the Latin inscription, "Pvella-Johanna-Flor-Gratia."
Whilst the bust is made of pure white Carrara marble, images were taken to enhance shadows and the bust is not stained nor discolored.
