A good set of eight carved oak Gothic Revival side chairs in the manner of Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, circa 1850. The chairs having compressed acorn shaped finials, the chair backs having backsplats with three quatrefoils located in a circular design and with a single bar backsplat below, the chair back rails and the legs are all canted to the sides.
Condition is very good, the chairs are made from solid quartersawn oak, they are very robust and stable and ready to grace your home and receive the most substantial of guests!
