A very good set of antique French carved oak Henri II dining chairs, circa 1880.
The chairs have just been completely and professionally re-caned by hand, each chair has also been completely re-glued and clamped in bloomsbury's workshops, the chairs are stable & robust and ready to seat the most substantial of dinner guests.

The chair backs having carved crests with foliate & caved rosettes, tapered and turned side columns, the bases having corresponding turned and tapered legs and  stretchers. Both the seats and backs have new hand-caning that is tight & strong, original finish, the chairs are in excellent condition!
