The clock having an engraved brass dial including a secondary dial and calendar dial. The etched brass face having Roman numerals and twin winding arbors, one for time and one for strike, the clock striking the hours on a mellow sounding bell. The case is very finely carved, the hood having a twin swan's neck pediment, the door carved with two figures holding torchiers and a tablet with the legend engraved of, "Time Tries. A." Below is a carving of a winged hour glass surrounded by rosettes and garlands. The base and sides also ornately carved with foliate, the clock raised on bracket feet. The door enclosing the original weights and brass bobbed pendulum. The clock having been totally cleaned and overhauled by a professional clocksmith. This is a very fine 8-day Georgian longcase clock in excellent condition, the clock's full provenance is included.
