Pair of Antique Baroque Carved Mahogany Throne Chairs, circa 1870. These very substantial chairs having scrolled arm-rests with acanthus leaves and terminating to rosettes. Each chair raised on turned legs with an ornately carved central stretcher and joined below with a turned stretcher, the chairs having bulbous carved lion's paw feet. The chairs are recently reupholstered in a very high quality needlepoint fabric having a Medieval/Heraldic motifs.

These throne chairs are substantial and heavy and exceedingly comfortable.
