A good antique American mid-19th century carved Rococo rosewood armchair, by John Henry Belter or Joseph Meeks, New York, 1850s. The chair having a carved & pierced scrolling top, with a deep buttoned/tufted back rest, the chair having corresponding carved floral decoration to the arms. The chair raised on cabriole legs with floral carving to the knee.
Condition is very good, the chair is upholstered in a high quality red velvet, the upholstery is in very good condition, the chair is very comfortable, stable and robust and ready to grace your home.
