Antique English Georgian Carved Oak Bookcase / Cupboard / Dresser, circa 1750. The bookcase sumptuously and substantially decorated with foliate and vine carving. The bookcase in two parts, the upper with a stepped cornice over dentil molding, below are two astragal glazed doors separated by a carved panel with an inlaid shell motif. The bookcase having carved columns with brass capitals, the top also having six carved lozenge panels. The lower section having a central door, also inlaid with a flowering urn, and flanked by twin drawers, the cabinet raised on bracket feet.
