"Golden Sunset on Mount Rainier, Washington," Antique Oil on Canvas by the Oregon Artist Eliza Barchus (1857-1959), Circa 1900. The painting depicting a view of Mt. Rainier with a lake and trees to the foreground, housed in a gilded frame, and bearing the artist's signature to the lower right as well as her inscription to the verso.
Eliza Barchus is possibly one of the favorite of the Oregon artists--having taken lessons from William Samuel Parrott--and is famous for her views of Northwest landscape scenes.
