A good antique taxidermy brwon trout is original display case, by William Hope, Edinburgh Scotland, circa 1890.
A very good antique taxidermy rainbow trout, mounted in it's original case, with the trade label to the front with the legend:
"Gold Medalist - William Hope - Bird Stuffer -  44 George Street Edinburgh - Stuffer for The Museum of Science and Art"
Condition is all original and very good, this very handsome rainbow trout is ready to grace your space!

William Hope was a notable Victorian taxidermist based in Edinburgh, his shop was located at 44 George Street,  As written on the trade label, he was a Gold Medalist and held the prestigious title of "Stuffer to the Museum of Science and Art". Hope operated near other well-known taxidermists of the time, such as "Small & Son". His work is frequently found in private collections and museums.
