A good antique miniature 9 Karat solid gold vesta match case, Birmingham, 1897.
The vesta having a hinged lid enclosing a storage area for matches to the inside, to the top is a circular link to attach the vesta to a chain, possibly a pocket watch chain or a chatelaine. The vesta having a ribbed edge to the underside for striking matches, the vesta is hallmarked "9. 375" and with the anchor for Birmingham and the date letyter "X" for 1897.
Condition is excellent, the vesta is free from an engraved monogram or name, gold weight is 9.5 Grams.
