A fine elegant antique English Georgian Regency period flame mahogany drop-leaf Pembroke table, with ebony inlay circa 1810.
This antique drop leaf pedestal table is made of the finest flame mahogany, it is extremely well made and likely came from one of the top London cabinet makers
the table top with twin drop leaves and finely inlaid with a border of ebony stringing, the table edges are also inlaid with corresponding ebony inlay. Below is a single locking drawer (key is present) with ebony stringing which is franked by a pair of inlaid ebony 'hourglass' shaped devices. The leave are supported by loper brackets to the front and rear and the table is very stable when the leaves are extended.
The table is raised on a turned pedestal column, terminating to four out-swept legs with turned roundels to the knee, inlaid with ebony and ending in cast brass paw feet.
Most likely from one of the top London cabinet maker's workshops, such as Gillows or George Oakley.
This table is in very good untouched antique condition, it has just lovingly received a coat of wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops, original finish, no alterations or repair.
