A very fine, elegant and monumental pair of antique Qing Dynasty cloisonne enamel vases from the Qianlong period (1736–1795).

The vases of square bulbous baluster form with long flared necks and raised upon flared bases. The neck and base with lappet borders, the white ground with all over enamel floral decoration of lotus flowers and other symbols of good fortune. To the center of the bulbous bodies are baskets filled with lotus pods and flowers, to the verso are twin scrolls and to the sides decorated with Ruyi or ceremonial scepters. The vases stand at 27" tall with their stands.
