A fine quality antique Syrian inlaid three seat bench / settee, circa 1880. The bench is of the highest quality, finely & profusely inlaid with geometric devices of Mother-of-pearl and bone, often known as "Damascus Work". The settee having three shaped back panels and is inlaid on all sides including the arms and seat, the bench is raised on six twin Mihrab (mosque niche) shaped legs.

Condition is very good indeed, the settee is in very good condition and is structurally robust and ready to use in your home. Many such benches are erroneously labeled as being from the 19th century when many are 20th century, this settee is guaranteed to be from the second half of the 19th century.
