Antique Imperial Russian large silver-gilt cloisonne spoon by Alexi Fyodorovich Kitovsky, Moscow, 1886.
The spoon with a tapered stem and having a crown shaped finial with blue & white enamel decoration, the rest of the stem with two light and dark blue enamel cuffs. The bowl of the spoon is large (7cm x 4.25 cm) & has a gold wash, the rear of the spoon is finely decorated with a gold ground and having both floral & geometric cloisonne decoration, with dark & light blue enamel with red & white enamel.
The spoon is stamped to the stem with the silver quality of "88" and the assayers barks and makers marks in cyrillic and the date for 1866, condition is excellent, silver weight is 60.5 grams.
