A good antique singing bird in a cage automaton, Karl Griesbaum, circa 1930.

A feathered single bird sings its various bird song calls while moving its tail and opening it's beak in song, whilst swiveling its head standing on a perch inside a brass cage. The dome shaped cage with a large ring to allow it to be suspended, with twin bands of brass with embossed floral decoration and 'barley twist' bars. The base also decorated with floral decoration, the cage is raised on three turned brass feet allowing it to also be placed on a table top..
A lever controls play "continuous, intermittent or stop." The wind-up bellows mechanism plays well and the bird sings softly & delightfully. condition is very good, please see the video in this listing.
