A good antique Georgian country 18th century elm dough bin, baker's table, circa 1780.
The table of typical form and having a lift up lid enclosing twin storage area, original used to store and mix and also prove bread dough. The bread bin is canted to the front and rear and is joined with dovetails, raised on bobbin-turned supports and united by peripheral stretchers, above bun feet.
The dough bin/table is made from solid figured elm-wood, it is of solid robust condition and could easily be used for its intended purpose, it would also provide great storage and be used as a table. Condition is very good, this lovely late 1700s peice of vernacular furniture is ready to grace your space.
