Antique French Napoleon III Gilt Bronze Medallion & Marble Ebonized Cabinet, 1860

A fine & elegant antique French gilt bronze and ebonized Napoleon III cabinet, circa 1860. The cabinet having a white Cararra marble top inset into an ebonized cabinet, the cabinet is sumptuously decorated with gilt bronze mounts, corbel brackets, swags & garlands, quivers with arrows and crests with cupids hearts. The single door having a large and impressive oval mount with a maiden and putti cast in relief, the curved sides also mounted with impressive gilt bronze appliques, the cabinet is raised on half bun and tapering feet. Condition is good, the Carrara marble is original to the cabinet, there is one historic break that has a sympathetic and historic repair that blends in with the darker marble veining. All the bronze mounts are original and present, the ebonized case is in good condition.
