Antique French Louis XV Cylinder Marquetry & Ormolu Bureau Writing Desk 1880

A very elegant antique French Louis XV style inlaid Kingwood cylinder bureau, desk, circa 1870.
This very fine serpentine or bombe shaped desk is finely inlaid with parquetry panels to the sides and the cylinder roll. To the top are three drawers, below the cylinder roll encloses a fitted interior with six drawers, below is a slide out writing surface fitted with a tooled and gilded chocolate brown leather writing surface.
Below are four short and one long drawers, all have the original gilt bronze pulls, the top of the cabriole legs are fitted with gilt-bronze mounts and the legs with gilt bronze sabots.
The desk is very well made, using the finest materials by one of the top late 19th century Parisienne cabinet makers. Condition is very good indeed, this beautiful antique French inlaid cylinder desk is ready to grace your home or office.
