An exceptional antique 19th-Century double sided oak and leather topped library table, partner's desk, circa 1860.
The overhanging top with a molded edge and is fitted with a three section tooled and gilded inset leather writing surface. Both the long sides are fitted with functioning twin drawers, each with two turn bun shaped handles, the table is so named a "Partner's" table or desk as it allows two sitters ample room to work and have the use of a pair of drawers. All the drawers have functioning locks and a key.
The table is raised on turned legs with tapered balusters, terminating to castors, made from solid oak and of superior joinery craftsmanship.
This very handsome partner's table is in excellent antique condition, it has just lovingly received a coat of wax in Bloomsbury's professional workshops and is now ready to grace your home or office.
