A good antique 19th century English Jacobean Revival carved walnut 'Barley Twist' caned long bench, circa 1880.

The bench with the original caned seat, the caning is in very good condition and will comfortably seat three adults, at each corner is a raised circular boss, the seat rails having a carved diamond shaped frieze. The bench having six barley twist and block shaped legs, the legs are joined side to side and front to back with barley twist stretchers, the bench is raised on six compressed bun feet.

Condition is very good indeed, the bench is robust and sturdy; the caned seat is strong and supportive, the bench has just lovingly received a wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops and has a warm honey colored patina. This very handsome antique Jacobean Revival bench is ready to grace your space.
