A fine antique Chinese Imperial green Celadon Gu shaped porcelain vase, Qianlong period 1736-1795.

The vase of Gu shape, originally an ancient shaped tall and slender wine vessel with a flared base, tapering to a slim waist and a trumpet shaped mouth that is wider than the base.
The vase with a green celadon glaze decorated in relief with two bands of lappets and a central cuff with floral decoration. The vase is mark & period with a blue six character Qianlong reign mark to the base, no damage or restoration noted.
Please see an almost identical vase that sold at Carlo Bonte Auction in Bruges Belgium, Lot 148, March 2017 for 7500 Euros ($8200).

Provenance; From the collection of the celebrated Chinese artist Paul Hau (Hou Beiren) born 1917, this vase along with three paintings by the artist was gifted to the previous owners in 1969.
