An exceptionally rare & fine antique Dutch marquetry bombe shaped rosewood wine cellarette/cooler, circa 1760.
The hinged top of ogee/sarcophagus form and finely inlaid with floral panels, enclosing a storage area for wine bottles. The base is of bombe shape to the front and sides, with sumptuous marquetry inlay of flowering urns with inlaid butterflies above. The base of reverse ogee shape and having corresponding marquetry inlay, the cellarette is raised on four ball feet.
The wine cellarette is in very good condition and is ready to store your favorite vintage wine.
