Antique French Carved Walnut Bookcase/Cabinet, Circa 1860. The cabinet having a carved cornice with lion's masks at each side, below are a pair of carved doors flanked by a pair of nude caryatids and enclosing three adjustable shelves. The base having a pair of ornately carved cupboard doors with maiden heads to the center and flanked by a pair of columns with lion's head terminals, the cabinet standing on claw feet. This is some of the very best French carving of this period.
