Antique Austrian Biedermeier Flame Mahogany Secretary Abattant Desk Chest 1870

A fine & elegant antique Austrian flame mahogany Biedermeier secretary chest desk, circa 1870.
The chest having a stepped top with a fall front locking secretary desk below, the tall front is flanked by a pair of corbel brackets carved with acanthus leaves & fruit, the writing surface is is counter weighted on each side and the fall front opens and closes with ease. The interior is fitted with six bow front drawers with ebony pulls that are inlaid with mother-of-pearl, to the center is a bow fronted locking door flanked by a pair of turned columns. To the base are three ogee front shaped drawers with mother-of pearl escutcheons, the cabinet has a pair of corresponding carved brackets and the desk is raised on a carved claw feet.  
Condition is very good indeed, no damage or restoration, beautiful flamed crotch mahogany. This very elegant secretary chest is ready to grace your home or office
