The bronze is tamped "Argentor Vienna" and "Thuss" on the base, condition is very good indeed, a very attractive Austrian cold-painted bronze.
Richard Thuss was born in Nuremberg, studied in Vienna, Munich and Nuremberg. Late in life (after 1930) he lived in Cincinnati until his death in 1945. His iconic cold painted bronzes are treasured today among collectors.
