Antique Art Deco Jewelry Store Display Case Counter Walnut Bronze Glass 1920

A fine and rare antique Art Deco Jewelry case, store counter, and presentation desk originally from the highly prestigious Jewelry Vaults in New Bond Street London, circa 1920.

This extraordinary antique dual sided counter/display cabinet, the top features a thick tempered secure glass display vitrine, with a bronze frame. The cabinet opens strictly from the rear by three locking doors to access jewelry from the original red velvet lined interior.
The counter is decorated with four walnut & maple deeply contoured parquetry panels, each with a diamond shape to the interior and surrounded with checkerboard parquetry, the same designs are repeated on each end of the cabinet. The cabinet has four slide out presentation display rests with the original red velvet and  carved shell-shaped pulls, the cabinet is raised on ten compressed bun feet.
The rear of the cabinet is fitted with two banks of tray/drawers, the 20 drawers are also lined to receive jewelry, gemstones, watches etc., There is a kneehole for an attendant to sit to and an open storage cabinet at one end. All the drawers have the original brass 'Dutch Axe' shaped handles and also the original brass nameplates. This cabinet is very robust and of substantial construction and condition is excellent.
