Antique 19thC Flame Mahogany Georgian Regency English Linen Press Chest 1800

A fine antique early 19th Century Georgian Regency period flame mahogany linen press, chest, English, circa 1800.
This exquisite linen press is constructed from the very best book matched flame mahogany and displays the abilities and skills of a very fine cabinet maker from the turn of the 1800s. The press cabinet is in three parts for ease of moving; a stepped removeable crown, above a twin door cabinet with a pair of fielded paneled doors with beaded molding, the doors are flanked with a pair of ribbed columns and acanthus leaf capitals and bases. The doors enclose four original sliding drawers.
The linen press base has gadrooning to the base and top edges, and is fitted with two short drawers above two long drawers, the drawers having the original oval brass bail handles, the press is raised on elegant ribbed splayed French feet. Locks function and key is present.
This very elegant antique Georgian linen press offers substantial storage, clean and odor free, it is a very fine antique cabinet in excellent antique condition and will be a treasured useful heirloom for many decades to come.
