Antique 19th Century Zanzibar Shirazi Brass Stud & Copper Clad Dowry Chest, circa 1850

A good antique 'Zanzibar' teak and brass stud work with copper overlay dowry chest, circa 1850. A better than the usual Zanzibar dowry chest, the hinge lidded chest profusely decorated with brass studwork in geometric designs, also clad with engraved copper. The chest has carrying handles to the side and a bank of three drawers to the base and to the front a large heavy brass lock hasp, inside is a clean storage reservoir with a lidded candle till to the right side.

The chest is in very good condition and ready to grace your home!
