Monumental sized 19th century antique acid-etched and diamond cut lidded cobalt blue glass whisky dispenser/decanter, circa 1880.
The vessel is made of a deep cobalt blue glass, the flared lid having a tall faceted finial that fits into a large baluster shaped body. The body of the dispenser having a band of diamond cut decoration with "Whisky" etched into the glass, the rear of the dispenser with 'sunburst' engraving and circular cut devices. The base of the vessel having a brass spigot tap, the decanter is raised on a turned and flared foot with circular cut and elongated cut decoration. The decanter is very large in size and in excellent condition.
