A period antique 17th century Baroque two drawer carved walnut desk or serving table, Navarre, Spain, circa 1650.

A remarkable almost 400 year old Spanish table, the table is carved on all sides so it is able to float in a room, the substantial top having an overhang at each side. To the front are two large drawers that are deeply carved with diamond lozenges and fitted with the original hand-forged iron pulls. The table is carved on all the other sides with corresponding diamond lozenge carved designs. The table is raised on spiral turned baluster shaped legs and joined with a stretcher at each side, the table is raised on compressed circular bun feet.
The table is in remarkable original condition for it's age, it is very robust and substantial with a warm rich patina developed over four centuries, this very attractive 17th century Spanish desk is ready to grace your space.
