A fine antique American Renaissance Revival carved rosewood music cabinet, circa 1870. The top of the cabinet having a finely handcarved backcrest with musical instruments and joined with a gallery stretcher to a pair of turned finials. Below are a pair of bow shaped doors inset with arched mirrors and flanked with carved half columns, the doors enclosed a blonde maple lined interior with four lateral and one horizontal storage files, below is a single locking bow shaped drawer, with the original cabinet key.
The cabinet is raised on elaborately carved and pierced brackets with turned and downward facing finials, the cabinet terminates to bracket feet. Condition is excellent and the cabinet is of the finest quality, from a very good cabinet maker!
