A good antique American Federal period cherry bench/settee, New England, Circa 1820. The bench having simple turned spindles to the back and a planked backrest, the bench having scrolled arms and a shaped single plank seat. The bench is raised on eight corresponding spindled legs, joined with planked stretchers to the back, front and sides. The bench is in very good original condition and has a mellow honey color, it is robust and stable and is ready to grace your home and will accommodate a number of your more substantial guests!
