A very impressive antique French 18th century battle scene with Joan of Arc, "The Seige of Orleans", during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453), the painting circa 1780.
The painting depicts a battle scene from the Seige of Orleans in 1428; this chaotic scene of the French & English soldiers fighting for King John. On the right side Joan of Arc is depicted wearing armor to the center is a soldier falling from his horse, to the right side the English with a nobleman on horseback, a flag with the royal arms is above.  
The painting is very finely executed, condition is excellent, the painting is housed in the original carved & gilded wooden frame, there is and old museum/gallery accession number stamp to the stretcher.  
This very attractive antique painting is ready to hang on your wall.
