A rare antique King James I period carved oak side table, sideboard, cupboard, circa 1620.
This rare & diminutive Jacobean joined sideboard/table having a carved arcaded gallery on the front and to each side, below is a pair of cupboard doors with carved lozenge shaped devises to the center with hand forged iron handles, enclosing a storage area. The base with ring turned and block legs, joined with a turned 'H' frame stretcher and raised on slightly compressed bun feet.
The top is most likely a 18th or early 19th century replacement, the patination of the cabinet shows four hundred years of use and is a dark rich color, condition is good.
A rare table/cupboard from the first quarter of the 1600s.
Provenance; From a 17th century manor house near Ashbourne Derbyshire England
