A good and large antique French brass Cloisonné eight day time and strike astronomical calendar clock, circa 1890.

The clock having a porcelain finial to the top decorated with a landscape scene. Below is a cloisonné trapezoid shaped top surrounded by four finials. The clock having a blue enamel ground and decorated with floral cloisonné, the clock having four corresponding inverted finials and twin dials flanked by cloisonné columns and garlands. The top dial having a cream enamel face with an open verge escapement, black Roman numerals and is marked "Made in France" and having twin winding arbors for the time and strike, the clock rings a subtle bell on the hours. The dial below having the months of the year with twin sub dials for the days and month, above is a moon roller for day and night. The side of the case having twin ram's head handles, to the rear is a single door enclosing the works and pendulum, the clock is raised on a Rococo style base with cabriole feet. The clock in very good condition, having recently been professionally cleaned and keeps good time, comes with winding key.
